GUWAHATI, July 28 - Following the ending of the Chinese online monopoly in the wake of the anti-Chinese stir and boycott of its products, two city-based firms have come up with an online teaching platform called OnClass, infusing fresh air into the domain of online education.

The OnClass platform which is a collaborative effort of Libresoft Technologies Pvt Ltd with Megon Creative India Pvt Ltd, is a user-friendly and secured platform for successful online learning with an easy-to-learn and neat interface.

It is designed in such a way that one can share information and conduct classes simultaneously in a hassle-free manner. It allows students and teachers to interact, upload materials to learn from, and enter into live video sessions to communicate in real-time, Supratim Kashyap, director, Megon Creative India Pvt Ltd told The Assam Tribune.

A Learning Management System (LMS) with integrated video conferencing solutions, OnClass rightly provides an appropriate learning environment and solution for conducting virtual classes ensuring privacy, ownership of data and security of the participants. OnClass, through its features like an advanced interactive whiteboard, browser-based communication, screen sharing, real-time text chat, attendance tracker, a social wall for students, assignments and assessment, and polling mechanism to interact and share ideas, will provide the ambience of a traditional classroom through a virtual class.

We are all gearing up for the new normal and going back to the traditional classrooms seem like a distant dream. The OnClass team believes that education and learning should never stop, and an online learning platform like OnClass will ensure that the Institutions are future-ready and adaptive to the new normal, Kashyap said.

According to Kashyap, such an online platform has been developed in the North East for the first time. Libresoft Technologies earlier product was an operating system (OS) named SuperX a Linux-based platform and is currently being used in the laptops distributed under the Assam Governments Aunondoram Borooah scheme for meritorious students.
