City college students defy COVID norms while submitting documents

By CITY CORRESPONDENT

GUWAHATI, Aug 11 - Social distancing norms went for a toss at Guwahati College today after students of the institution queued up in large numbers to submit the hard copies of their filled-up forms along with necessary documents in the college office today.

In an August 4 notification, the college authority had directed all the arrear batches of 2014, 2015 and 2016 of TDC second semester, fourth semester and sixth semester respectively to pay their examination fees, centre fees and practical fees (as applicable) in cash in the college office on or before August 11.

A Gauhati University notification stated that the principals had been requested to make necessary arrangements for collection of fees from the students by following all COVID-19 protocol. However, a student of the college said that no such arrangement was made today in this regard.
