MANGALDAI, March 10 - City Cricket Club (A), Guwahati entered into the semifinal of the Jagat Ch Das Memorial 2nd T-20 Challenge Trophy.
In the first quarterfinal match played at the Mangaldai Stadium here today, City Cricket Club defeated another Guwahati outfit Bud Cricket Club by six wickets. Electing to bat first Bud scored 121 for six in the stipulated 20 overs. Amit Bharti (35) and Amzad Ali (31) were their two leading scorers.
In reply CCC reached their target with six wickets in hand and nine balls to spare. Gokul Sarma (49) was their scorer. Brief Scores : Bud 121/6 (Amit Bharti 35, Amzad Ali 31. Dhiraj Goswami 2/30). City CC 122/4 (Gokul Sarma 49, Tarjinder Singh 27, Utpal Gayari 2/25).
