GUWAHATI, May 4 - The Kamrup Metro district administration today directed all circle officers in the city to carry out inspections at all wholesale and retail shops having licence under the Assam Trade Articles (Licensing and Control) Order, 1982, to check their stocks of lentils and cooking oil, along with the prices charged for the products.
The officials were directed to ensure that such establishments adhere to the order and to take action against any establishment found to be flouting norms, including overcharging or hoarding such commodities.
