GUWAHATI, June 12 - City bus operators in Guwahati have been directed by the Transport Department to issue tickets to passengers.
In an order, the Regional Transport Authority (RTA) of Kamrup Metro said that there have been reports from DTP Enforcement that city buses plying in the Greater Guwahati area are not issuing tickets to the passengers and this is a violation of relevant Acts.
The RTA has directed all operators of city buses to stop this practice immediately and start issuing proper tickets to the passengers.
In addition, all the owners of public service vehicles have been directed to display �No Smoking� stickers in prominent places inside their vehicles.
