City Boys emerge champions

JORHAT, March 20 - City Boys Club annexed the Jorhat A Division Cricket League title for the Gauri Prasad Baruah Memorial Trophy defeating Teen Agers Club by the virtue of their first innings lead here today.

Resuming at an overnight score of 89 for four, City Boys went on to put up a total of 206 runs before being bundled out in 48.3 overs.

Coming in to bat in their second innings, Teen Agers managed 144 runs for the loss of two wickets at the end of two day final.

Imtiaz Hussain of Teen Agers walked away with the man of the match honour.

City Boys Club 1st Innings 206/10 in 48.3 overs (Bijay Bhaskar Bora 44, Manash Protim Borthakur 36, Pargot Bora 30; Anupam Gogoi 5/58, Dibyajyoti Phukan 3/47, Dayal Kr Dutta 1/54). Teen Agers 2nd Innings 144/2 in 25 overs (Imtiaz Hussain 104, Anupam Gogoi 18; Sanjib Prasad 1/26 in 3 overs).
