By STAFF REPORTER

GUWAHATI, Aug 19 - Guwahati-based Out of Home (OOH) media firm Outreach Advertising has been recognised in the list of top 100 Small & Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in India for 2017, beating stiff competition from more than 33,000 vibrant enterprises from across the country. The initiative by India SME Forum is organised in association with the Union Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises. The awards were presented in New Delhi recently.

The India SME 100 Awards is reputed as one of the largest gatherings of SMEs from India, drawing business owners, start-up founders and investors from across the country.

The selection process to pick the top 100 emerging SMEs involved a qualified and eminent jurys assessments. Criteria considered in selecting the top SMEs included innovation, business feasibility, market opportunity, reach and revenue, etc.

Commenting on the recognition award, Sunit Jain, Managing Director of Outreach Advertising said, I believe Outreach has taken right steps at the right time transforming the entire ecosystem of our industry while impacting citys landscape positively. We have established business processes which are robust and systematic and helped us get this recognition because most of small and medium enterprises do not follow organised work processes.

A lot of investors and bankers present at the event were amazed to see an advertising and media enterprise getting an award and it would perhaps change their outlook on the fast evolving OOH space. Outreach Advertising is the only enterprise amongst Indias Top 100 SMEs from the advertising and media sector in India and only one from North-east India, he said.

The award was presented by Minister of State of MSME, Giriraj Singh, MP and former Union Minister Kalraj Mishra, Secretary of MSME Dr Arun Kr Panda, MD & CEO of Axis Bank Shikha Sharma, and Chairman of India SME Forum Prahlad Kakkar.
