GUWAHATI, April 25 - The Asom Jyestha Nagarik Sanmilan while opposing the Citizenship Amendment Bill, 2016, has criticised the Government of Assam for its weak stand on the matter.
In a press release here the senior citizens� body warned that the Bill, if passed, would pose a serious threat to the very existence of the Assamese people.
It called for withdrawal of the Bill in the interest of the people of Assam.
