GUWAHATI, April 28 � The three-day inaugural programme of the Gauhati Cine Club golden jubilee celebrations concluded today with the screening of famous Italian filmmaker Vittorio De Sica�s After the Fox. Earlier, Barravento directed by Glauber Rocha of Brazil was screened on the third and final day of the accompanying film festival today.
The programme was inaugurated on April 26 at the District Library auditorium. Other than screening of selected films of Russia, Bhutan, Brazil and Italy, a master class on history of cinema and film society movements in India by HN Narahari Rao, former president of the Federation of Film Societies of India was organized during the programme.
