Cine celebs making most of lockdown leisure

GUWAHATI, April 3 - When the entire country is under lockdown due to covid-19 pandemic, the Assamese�film celebrities, while maintaining self-quarantine, are making the best use of this time to engage in creative activities, listening to songs, watching favourite movies, doing workouts, spending time with their loved ones and interacting as well as posting some of their activities in the social media.

Actress Aimee Baruah said that during this lockdown she shot a small video from home which was also uploaded in the social media. She said most of the time she spent with her two children.

�We all are busy in our daily routine. Amid this threat, however, the lockdown brings closeness among our family members and relatives. I get to spend my entire day with my children. Sometimes, while watching television, they see ads on food and snacks and ask me to bring. I had to manage somehow to fulfil their demands,� Aimee Baruah told The Assam Tribune.

She appealed to the people to maintain social distancing and engaged in creative works.

In the wake of the same, actor Nayan Nilim saw this lockdown as an opportunity to do some creative works and recalled his childhood memories.

He said, �I am working on a new film story right now. We had recently released an awareness song in the social media to fight COVID-19. The 59-second song is based on a song from one of my movies Bandhu.�

�I�m exercising regularly. I am also spending my days recalling the school memories, watching old movies, particularly Assamese, listening to old songs, etc.�

Nayan Nilim, further urging his fans and the people of Assam to follow the instructions of the government, said, �Please spend some quality time with your family members and loved ones. We know that this is a very critical time but we can turn it into our best time ever. Whatever you like, just do it.�

Actor Ravi Sarma said he is spending more time in observing Nature.

�I used to play mouth organ, sexophone and recorder flute. I�ve been watching movies, particularly short films. Moreover, I�m spending quality time with my mother because in a busy schedule it became quite difficult for me. But now, I�m realising that it�s not too difficult to manage time,� Sarma said.

He also talked about how wildlife is slowly reclaiming its place across the globe.

Actress Barasha Rani Bishaya has been posting her daily workouts on social media platforms like Facebook. She is also donating foods for the stray animals in the city. She has been appealing people to stay inside their houses.

On a social media platform, she wrote, �Don�t just eat, sit and sleep... Burn out the extra calories.�

National Award-winning actress Malaya Goswami said she is busy working on a project. She said, �However, due to this deadly virus, the project has slowed down a bit. But, we are hopeful that the situation will improve soon.�

She expressed her gratitude towards the healthcare workers, police personnel and other essential service providers, including media professionals, during this hour of crisis.

Actor Jatin Bora said, �I�ve been watching movies everyday. I�m also going through the script of my upcoming movie Barood 2. I�m also reading books and working on my body as well.�
