GUWAHATI, Sept 6 � The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has submitted the chargesheet in a Nagaon court in connection with the case relating to attack on the members of Public Accounts Committee naming Saiful Islam, Nurul Hooda and Manik Ali as accused.
While Nurul Huda is the vice-chairman of Nagaon Zila Parishad, both Ali and Islam are the members of the Parishad.
The accused were booked under several bailable sections of the IPC, the exception being Section 353 of the IPC.
The PAC members were attacked on May 29 at Nagaon Circuit House.
The Additional Advocate General representing the State of Assam informed this to the Gauhati High Court, which today made the bail application of all the three absolute.
While the interim anticipatory bail order of Nurul Hooda and Manik Ali were made absolute on the condition that they would have to surrender before the Court of Chief Judicial Magistrate within two weeks, the interim bail petition of Saiful Islam, the third accused, was also made absolute.
