AIZAWL, March 24 - Amid the mounting novel coronavirus scare, a church body in Mizoram today called for State-wide prayers on March 28 to contain the global outbreak of the deadly virus.
The Mizoram Kohhran Hruaitute Committee, a conglomerate of 15 major churches in the State, in a press release on Tuesday, appealed to every household to hold prayers at 7 pm on March 28.
This is the second time the committee had appealed to people to seek divine intervention to contain the coronavirus pandemic.
On March 14 and 15, all churches across the State held mass prayer programmes in their respective churches.
Mizoram is currently under lockdown to prevent the virus spread. The church leaders� committee has appealed to people to seek divine intervention to ensure that Mizoram is safe.
