IMPHAL, Dec 26 - Christmas, the greatest festival of the Christians was celebrated with prayers for peace, Gospel reading, singing of hymns, etc., in Manipur yesterday.
The festival is also the time to rejoice with feasts and get-togethers of families and friends.
Manipur Governor V Shanmuganathan and Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh have greeted the people of the State on the occasion of Christmas. In his message, the Governor said, �I congratulate the Christian missionaries for the massive expansion of educational institutions, hospitals and humanitarian services. I once again wish the people of Manipur a very Merry Christmas 2015�.
Chief Minister said, �May the spirit of Christmas fill our lives with peace, love and prosperity. I greet the people of Manipur especially our Christian brethren on the joyous occasion of Christmas.�
