IMPHAL, Nov 14 - Children�s Day was celebrated across Manipur on Monday. Governor Dr Najma A Heptulla attended a celebration at Catholic School, Canchipur, about 5 km south of here.

Archbishop Rev Dominic Lumon DD and National Co-ordinator, Indian Catholic Youth Movement Raymond D�Souza also attended the celebrations.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Heptulla said, �celebrating Children�s Day reminds us about the importance of children in the making of the future of the country. It is a call to every citizen to protect their little ones from all harm by providing them better childhood.� It is really a matter of great concern that children are made victims of many social evils like drug, abuse, alcohol, hard labour, violence, etc., she said.
