KALAIGAON, July 4 - A National Children�s Science Congress (NCSC) workshop was held at Tangla recently as part of the 5th phase of district resource persons and guide teachers� training for Udalguri district. It was held at Maharishi Vidya Mandir Senior Secondary School, Tangla.
The workshop was organised for preparing guide teachers for activities of 26th NCSC, 2018, which was sponsored by ASTEC (Assam Science Technology & Environment Council), Guwahati. Sixty school teachers from various schools of the district were trained to guide students likely to present their projects in the district-level NCSC activities this year. D Sarma, NCSC, Udalguri district academic coordinator conducted the training session while Sanjeev Kumar Sarma, district academic president and principal of Maharishi Vidya Mandir Senior Secondary School, Tangla spoke on theme and sub-themes. He also encouraged teachers to motivate the children in the preparation of science-based projects.
