GANGTOK, Nov 21 - The West Sikkim Police have inaugurated child-friendly rooms in all the seven police stations of the district.
These rooms have been built to ensure the best facilities for child victims during interaction with police personnel. These facilities will be used when police officers interact with child victims in plainclothes to ensure that the children are in a comfort zone.
The child-friendly rooms are equipped with soft toys, charts and play materials. There are also human body charts so that the children can point out the areas where they have been abused.
