Chief Minister felicitates 100 plasma donors

GUWAHATI, Sept 26 - In a move to acknowledge the generosity and responsibility shown by people in donating plasma, Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal felicitated the plasma donors at a function held at the Assam Administrative Staff College here today.

The programme organised by the Lions Club of Gauhati Greater was held in appreciation of the convalescent plasma donors who donated their plasma for patients who are fighting the disease. As many as 100 plasma donors were felicitated today.

Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Sonowal thanked the plasma donors and termed their actions as the true form of humanity. He said their actions not only helped in saving precious lives but also radiating a new ray of hope in society.

Sonowal said at a time when the entire society is going through an unprecedented situation because of the coronavirus infection, the plasma donors have become a ray of hope.

Sonowal also thanked the Lions Club and the plasma donors and said the state government would always help them in their endeavour. On the occasion, the two recipients of plasma also expressed their gratitude to the donors.

Chief Minister's Media Advisor Hrishikesh Goswami and a host of other dignitaries were present on the occasion.
