GUWAHATI, July 13 - The All Assam Chess Association (ad-hoc committee) will send a 20-member Assam team for the forthcoming 15th North Eastern States Chess Championship, FIDE rated, to be held at Duliajan from August 5th to 11th.
The tournament, which carries a prize fund of Rs 1.2 lakh, will be hosted by the Duliajan Chess Academy on behalf of All Assam Chess Association under the aegis of All India Chess Federation. The selected players have to contact the officials of the State chess body.
The selected players are: Santanu Borpatra Gohain, Madhab Sarma, Manoj Das, Santanu Singh, Bibendu Das, Abdus Siddique, Rahul Soram Singh, Chengkhei Singh, Junmoni Gogoi, Suriatapa Banik, Stutirani Gogoi, Sandeep Nath, Komal Lodha, Nabayan Das, S Monisha Devi, Anurag Kalita, Master Vivek Rajkumar, Baibhabi Barooah, Jitabrata Nath, Khyaati Srivastava.
