Chartered accountants� meet from today

GUWAHATI, Nov 19 - The Guwahati branch of the EIRC of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India is going to host a two-day national conference for chartered accountants, �Divyam � Towards Enlightenment� on November 20 and 21 at Pragjyoti ITA Centre for Performing Arts, Machkhowa here, a press release stated. More than 700 chartered accountants from all over the country, especially from the North Eastern Region, will attend the conference, which will be inaugurated by PB Acharya, Governor of Assam, in the presence of PVSLN Murty, CGM, SBI, NE Circle, Kamlesh Vikamsey, G Ramaswamy, and Subodh Kumar Agrawal, all past presidents of the ICAI.

The conference will comprise four technical sessions on varied topics affecting the working of chartered accountants including Direct Taxes, Corporate Laws, Indirect Taxation, Information Technology and a motivational session on �The power of subconscious Mind.� It will end with a valedictory session.

The conference will be addressed by eminent speakers from all over the country including Kamlesh Shivji Vikamsey from Mumbai, G Ramaswamy from Coimbatore, Feroze B Andhyarujina from Mumbai, Manoj Banthia from Kolkata, Milind Mehta from Vadodara, Sunil Gabhawala from Mumbai, Bimal Jain from Delhi, Anand Jangid from Bengaluru and Vedula Ramalakshmi from Jharsuguda (Odisha).

A souvenir will be released at the inaugural session on November 20. A cultural programme, �Ignitra,� for members and their spouses will be held at the end of the first day of the conference, the press release added.
