GUWAHATI, Dec 29 - A five-day Charaideo Festival has been organised here from tomorrow at Sukafa Maidam under the auspices of socio-cultural organisation, Nritya-Natyam, stated a press release.
The programme from December 30 to January 5 includes trade fair, food festival, exhibition on traditional items of Tai-Ahoms, tea tribes and other ethnic groups, seminar, photo exhibition, open conference and cultural shows. The agenda of the cultural programme are traditional songs and dances like Zikir, Jaari, Tokari Geet, Bihu etc. The open conference will be attended by prominent historians, litterateur, MPs and MLAs and leaders of various student organisations. A book fair has also been organised at the venue, the release added.
