GUWAHATI, April 25 - Chaotic situation prevailed on board a train carrying security personnel for election duty from Kokrajhar to Bardhaman in West Bengal this morning after the personnel protested against lack of drinking water and power inside the train.
The train, a 'Election Special' had departed from the Kokrajhar Railway station this morning carrying hundreds of security personnel who were to be deployed at Bardhaman for Lok Sabha poll duty.
However, the personnel complained about lack of water and power inside the train. They protested against lack of such basic facilities and entered into argument with railway staff. The problem was settled after drinking water was provided when the train reached the New Coochbehar station. Railway staff also repaired the power facility inside the train.
