GUWAHATI, Aug 11 - The�Chandrapur Anchalik Chatra Santha today staged a protest in front of the Chandrapur Revenue Circle office against the Citizenship (Amendment) Act and the draft notification of Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), 2020.
The protesters formed a human chain holding banners and placards. They demanded immediate scrapping of CAA and the draft EIA notification in the greater interest of the people of Assam.
AASU central executive member Tutumoni Kalita, Chandrapur Anchalik Chatra Santha president and secretary Nitul Kalita and Sourabh Das respectively, and others participated in the protest.
