NALBARI, March 7 � Former president of Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) Chandra Mohan Patowary has decided to join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) after a meeting with his followers and party workers at Chamata in Nalbari district here today.
Representatives from 21 anchalik committees of AGP, out of a total of 22 under Dharmapur LAC, took part in the meeting. The AGP anchalik committees of the LAC have reportedly extended their support to Chandra Mohan Patowary for his decision to join BJP. While talking to the media, Patowary, who was the chief ministerial candidates in the last Assembly election from AGP, said that he will shortly join the national party.
