GUWAHATI, July 11 - AGP president Atul Bora today urged the Centre to send a team of experts to Assam to study the present flood situation and also to release adequate amount of funds for relief of the State�s flood-hit people.

The AGP president also called for urgent steps to declare the flood and erosion problems of Assam as national problems as per the decision of the tripartite meeting held by the Union Government with representatives of the State Government and All Assam Students� Union.

Bora, in a statement, also appealed to his party members and office-bearers to engage themselves in the operations to provide relief to the flood-hit people. He urged them to monitor the official relief and rescue operations.
