GUWAHATI, April 12 - An audio CD of a song dedicated to journalists titled Sangbadik was released at Guwahati Press Club today by senior journalist and Assistant Editor of The Indian Express Samudra Gupta Kashyap.
In his speech Kashyap deliberated on several issues relating to journalism and its ethics. He stated that perhaps this is the first Assamese recorded song exclusively dedicated to the jounalists. Chief guest Anuradha Sharma Pujari, Editor of Sadin and Satsori, said the song has high quality lyrics and music and may be used in various programmes organized by the journalists.
The song has been penned by Paban Kumar Borthakur, a senior IAS officer of the Government of Assam, with music composition by Tapan Kakoty. The song has been rendered by Paban Kumar Borthakur along with Parashmoni, Bidyut Bikash, Shahrukh Ahmed, Baby Queen, Kangkana Das and Sumi Kakoty.
