GUWAHATI, Nov 18 - In a significant development, the faculty of the Cotton College State University (CCSU), including its Vice Chancellor, will start imparting course-related lessons to the students of the Panbazar Girls� Higher Secondary School from November 21 on a periodic basis, under a special academic programme of the university, stated an official press release here today.
For the purpose, Vice Chancellor of the CCSU Dr Dhruvajyoti Saikia visited the girls� school yesterday. He was accompanied by the Inspector of Schools of Kamrup district. Dr Saikia met the Principal (in-charge) and teachers of the school and took stock of its prevailing academic atmosphere. He also interacted with the students and held discussion on their teaching needs.
It needs mention here that Dr Saikia expressed his desire to deploy the university teachers in conducting classes in the city schools. In response to the above desire of the Vice Chancellor, the Inspector of Schools, Kamrup district had submitted a list of schools which needed such support.
