GUWAHATI, April 9 - Cricket Club of Dibrugarh Academy (CCDA) thrashed Lakhimpur Cricket Academy by 118 runs in their match of the 13th All Assam Golap Hazarika Memorial Inter District Cricket Coaching Centre/Academy Cricket Tournament at the Dispur Parade Ground, here today.
Electing to bat, Cricket Club of Dibrugarh Academy put up a total of 204 runs for the loss of seven wickets in their stipulated 35 overs. Chinmoy Markary top scored with 52 runs while Pankaj Hazarika scalped two wickets conceding 34 runs in his four overs.
In reply, Lakhimpur boys were bundled out for 86 runs in 31.1 overs. Nadir Ahmed with 18 runs was the only batsman to reach the double figure mark while Nishant Singhania returned with figures of five for 14 in seven overs which also earned him the man of the match award.
