GUWAHATI, Oct 18 � The CBSE Cluster I Inter-School U-19 Volleyball Tournament got under way here in Kaziranga English Academy today. The championship was formally inaugurated by chief guest B Basumatary, Dean of Laxmibai National Institute of Physical Education, Sonapur. Renowned mountaineer and three times Mount Everest conqueror Anshu Jamsenpa was present in the opening ceremony as guest of honour.
In the inaugural matches, Army Public School Narangi boys defeated NPS International School, Guwahati 15-6, 15-6 while in the girls� section match, APS, Narangi got the upper hand of Faculty HS School, Amingaon 15-3, 15-8, stated a release.
