GUWAHATI, May 28 � Girls managed to outshine boys in the Class XII examinations of the CBSE in the North East region.
CBSE sources said the total pass percentage in the NE region was 73.7 per cent. The pass percentage among boys was 72.88 pc and that of the girls was 74.64 pc. The examinations were held in 282 centres in the region.
PTI adds from New Delhi: Over 80 pc students cleared the 2012 Class XII CBSE examinations, with girls once again outshining the boys and the Chennai region beating others in the overall pass percentage.
The results were declared across the country today, with the total pass percentage standing at 80.19 per cent, a fall of 0.69 per cent over last year, said a statement issued by the CBSE.
