GUWAHATI, Nov 3 - The CBSE Cluster-I (East Zone) Basketball Tournament, organised by the Miles Bronson Residential School, Borjhar got under way today with a colourful opening ceremony.

Sanjib Das, Regional Officer, CBSE Regional Office, was the chief guest in the function. A total of 19 boys and 13 girls teams are in the fray in the coveted CBSE championship.

The Founder and Principal of the host school Dr NK Dutta in his warm and illuminating speech extended a hearty welcome to all the participating CBSE schools from across the region.

Today�s results: (Boys) Sainik School Nagaland bt The Little Star Senior Secondary School, Digboi (34-23); Delhi Public School, Guwahati bt Christ School, Meghalaya (26-25); Kaziranga English Academy, Guwahati bt Delhi Public School, Dhaligaon (27-9); Miles Bronson Residential School, Borjhar got walk over against Hindustani Kendriya Vidyalaya. (Girls) Faculty Higher Secondary School, Amingaon bt Indus Academy, Jagiroad (20-4); Royal Global School, Guwahati bt St Clare�s Convent High School, Guwahati (31-2).
