Cataract research work by State scientists lauded

GUWAHATI, Jan 4 � Cataract research conducted in Assam by a group of scientists has been selected for the list of top medical research findings in the world by a website RecentMedicalFindings.com.

This website, based in the United States, is also known as RMF and it searches millions of trust-worthy peer-reviewed biomedical articles published in a wide collection of scientific journal.

Then it filters for publication dates of the research articles and extracts the most important ones to list the top 50 articles of preceeding 2 years or 5years, a press release stated.

The website is widely known worldwide as helps researchers and scientists to find out top quality research works in particular fields in the world.

The group of scientists include Dr Mir Alam Siddique, Dr Satya Bhusan Paul and Dr Basant Kumar Tiwary. The research bagged the top rank in the list prepared by MedicalFindings.com.

The consistent and devoted research which the trio conducted since 2004 to 2009, could trace the basic pathophysiology of senile cataract formation.

Their research work was accepted by Royal College of Opthalmologists, London and was published in their Scientific Journal 'Eye' which is published by Nature Publishing Group, one of the prestigious publishing groups in the world.
