SILCHAR, March 17 - In yet another instance of cash snatching in the city, a man lost Rs 1 lakh at the National Highway point here on Saturday.
Narayan Goswami came out from the United Bank of India�s Meherpur branch and walked down to the nearby market. Immediately, two motorcycle-borne miscreants snatched away the money.
The incident has raised widespread concern since a similar incident of snatching money from a lady at the Central Road here was reported on Friday.
However, Cachar Superintendent of Police Mughdhajyoti Dev Mahanta has reassured the people that vigil is being intensified and the problem would be dealt with hard hands.
