ITANAGAR, April 5 - To give succour to thousands of construction workers in the unorganised sector of the State who were hit hard by the lockdown, the Arunachal Pradesh Government has decided to provide them cash relief of Rs 2,000 each for two months. All non-government/unorganised workers registered with the Arunachal Pradesh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board will get the cash relief.
An order issued by the Secretary of the board late last evening stated that the registered non-government/unorganised workers registered with the board will be paid Rs 2,000 as cash relief for the months of April and May.
Chief Minister Pema Khandu lauded the prompt action taken by Chairman of the board Jalley Sonam to give some relief to the worst-hit section of the society.
