Cash incentive for Trisha, Agniv

GUWAHATI, Jan 28 - The Assam Table Tennis Association (ATTA) in its executive committee meeting held here today decided to provide cash incentive to paddlers Trisha Gogoi and Agniv Bhaskar Gohain.

Trisha will receive Rs 2 lakh while Agniv will be awarded with Rs 1 lakh for their outstanding performance at the national level as well as for representing the country in the world junior circuit.

The association also distributed an amount of Rs 4 lakh and a minimum of three TT board and arena to all the 13 affiliated districts of the State. Earlier, the ATTA had distributed four TT tables and arena and a Robot Machine to the affiliated districts.

The meeting was presided over by ATTA president Rakibul Hussain in the presence of vice president Jamshed Khan, Munin Nobis, Dr Nandini Barooah Sharma, Iswar Barthakur, secretary Tridib Duvarah, treasurer NJ Sarma, among other officials and executive committee members.

The executive committee also decided to hold the next Annual General Meeting within the month of April. It also finalised the schedule of the ranking tournaments for the next session. The meeting also accepted the resignation submitted by assistant secretary Rajdeep Bhuyan, stated a press release.
