TURA, Feb 7 � About Rs 15 lakh, a cache of explosives and detonators, along with camouflage uniforms were receovered from the house of the general secretary of the Federation of Khasi Jaintia and Garo People (FKJGP), Rongjeng unit in East Garo Hills district.
Police sources said, Rongjeng police arrested one Rikpang G Momin along with camouflage uniforms, allegedly meant for the Achik Matgrik Elite Force (AMEF).
�A further search of his house led to the recovery of an amount of Rs 15 lakh along with a cache of explosives, detonators, laptop and incriminating documents from the room of his elder brother, Simseng G Momim�, said SP East Garo Hills Davies Marak.
�When questioned, the younger brother revealed that Simseng was not only the GS of Rongjeng FKJGP unit, but also the GS of the AMEF. We have launched a search operation to nab the culprit who is now absconding�, added the SP.
