Car showroom owner arrested

JORABAT, July 8 - Police today arrested the Ganeshguri-based Hyundai showroom owner Rishabh Himatsingka from a resort at Sonapur.

He has been booked for allegedly harassing a service centre employee on Thursday last.

Two separate cases (No. 1864/18 and No. 1894/18) were registered under sections 504 (Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace), 342 (Punishment for wrongful confinement), 325 (Punishment for voluntarily causing grievous hurt) and 500 (Punishment for defamation) under the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

A case (No. 1894/18) was registered on the basis of an FIR lodged by the victim on July 7. Since July 6, the Mukesh Hyundai showroom at Ganeshguri and its servicing centre have remained closed. Rishabh was today produced in a court and sent to judicial custody.
