GUWAHATI, Sept 6 - Acting on a tip-off that huge quantity of dry cannabis are being smuggled in a truck, the sleuths of the DRI�s Silchar regional unit intercepted a truck at Katigora, about 35 km from Silchar, recently.
The officials succeeded in finding a specially-made cavity between the backside of the driver�s chamber and the wall of the truck from where 1,413.6 kg of dry cannabis was recovered. The total value of the seized cannabis along with the carrier truck has been estimated to be Rs 91.74 lakh. Two persons were in this connection.
