DIPHU, Oct 26 - A candle light procession was taken out by the residents of various Howraghat localities this evening in the town demanding immediate arrest of all culprits involved in the alleged killing of a 14-year-old girl.
Protests at Howraghat and Lumding are being held after a 14-year-old girl was allegedly killed by a family on October 17. As per reports, the minor girl was working as maid servant at the residence of one Sadhan Chakraborty at Lunding. The girl was allegedly killed by Sadhan Chakraborty and his wife and later her body was set on fire.
It is to be noted that the victim was a resident of Howraghat town ward No-2. On Saturday, several people staged a candle light march to protest against the gruesome death of the girl. No one has been arrested by the police yet in the case.
