GUWAHATI, April 25 - The Indrapur Mahila Samity has urged Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi to take necessary steps for expediting investigation into the Bandana Kalita gangrape and murder case so that the guilty are given exemplary punishment.
The Samity, in a memorandum to the Chief Minister, regretted that investigation into the case is not proceeding at the required pace. It may be recalled that Bandana was raped and murdered on March 15 and her body was recovered on March 17.
�We request the Chief Minister to look into the matter so that the family of Bandana Kalita gets justice,� said the Samity.
