GUWAHATI, Oct 2 - Inculcating moral values and understanding diversity in the light of Mahatma Gandhi�s life is the need of the present times, stated Prof Ved Prakash, former UPSC Chairman, while addressing students at a function held on the eve of Gandhi Jayanti at the University of Science and Technology Meghalaya (USTM) on Tuesday. Prof Alaka Sarma, educationist and Director (honorary) of the International Centre for Gandhian Studies, USTM, said that Gandhi�s life itself is a message.
Dr Vimal Rarh of SGTB Khalsa College, Delhi University, also addressed the students. Mahbubul Hoque, USTM Chancellor, said that it was necessary that the masses followed Mahatma Gandhi�s philosophy, a press release stated.
