DIBRUGARH, May 9 The Chatra Mukti Sangram Samiti, which is the students wing of Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti, today called upon the Vice Chancellor of Dibrugarh University, Alak Kumar Buragohain to immediately resolve all the problems of the students arising out of the newly-introduced semester system.

They also demanded re conduct of examination for students with backs within 45 days after the declaration of results.
Stating that the dropout rate had increased in the educational institutions with the introduction of the semester system, the student wing of the KMSS urged upon the DU authorities to take up the issue seriously and scrutinise the whole system and come up with a comprehensive report. The student body suggested that the teacher-student ration be 1:30 for smooth implementation of the semester system.
