GUWAHATI, May 9 - The Brahmaputra Valley Civil Society has written to the State co-ordinator of the NRC Assam to take precautionary measures so that the process of disposal of NRC related objections is free and fair to both the objectors and the persons against whom objections have been filed.
The organisation stated that the venue of hearing centres must be at a place nearer to both the parties, and the incomplete and irregular objections should be rejected.
The organisation also added that in case of absence of the objectors during the hearing the objections should be considered as infructuous.
The organisation demanded that the names and addresses of the objectors be divulged.
