SILCHAR, Oct 29 - After their campaign against illicit liquor and gambling across the district, Cachar Police have taken a serious view of the incidents of fake documents relating to passports and NRC application forms.

According to the police, a big racket of fake documents has spread its tentacles across the district and a large number of players who are important links in the racket have already been arrested from different places.

We are keeping a close eye on the movement of the racket and the other key players will soon be behind bars, a senior police officer said.

Meanwhile, Afazuddin, Noor Hussain and Abdul Jabbar, the three arrested in connection with the recovery of original NRC application forms and other vital documents from a computer shop at Shadhinbazar, have been sent to judicial custody.
