SILCHAR, May 27 � Pritha Paul, a budding chess player from Silchar, will participate in the forthcoming U-9 National Chess Championship beginning in Ahmedabad from June 11.
Joydip Nag, secretary Cachar District Chess Association (CDCA) said that 29 chess players will take part in the championship to be held at Gujarat, Karnataka and Haryana later this year. On the sidelines, Nag also informed that Assam State champion Madhav Sharma will visit CDCA for a week-long summer chess camp in June.
