GUWAHATI, March 10 � Police today arrested Biren Borgohain, a city-based businessman on charges of misleading the investigators in a fake firing incident reported few days back under Gorchuk police station, Senior Superintendent of Police (City) Deepak Choudhury said.
Buragohain had alleged that he was shot at by unidentified motor-cycle borne miscreants though investigation later revealed that the Borgohain�s PSO was forced to fire at his car to strengthen his claim for a PSO after administration decided to withdraw his PSO.
�He has been arrested on charges of misleading the police and illegal use of arms,� Choudhury stated.
