Burnt body of missing woman found in Tripura

AGARTALA, March 13 - The half-burnt body of a missing woman was recovered under mysterious circumstances near a brick kiln at Rangacherra in Mohanpur subdivision of West Tripura district today.

Police sources said that the 22-year-old woman had been missing since Thursday.

Local villagers spotted the burnt body of the girl near a brick field and alerted the police this morning. The police rushed to the spot and sent the body for post mortem.

�We have picked up a driver, Saurabh Paul, for interrogation as the girl�s mobile phone was found at his house,� said Additional SP (West Tripura) Amitabh Paul.
