GOSSAIGAON, Nov 28 - Forest officials of the Kachugaon Forest Division apprehended a 10-wheel truck bearing registration number UP-21-CN-1871 and seized buffalo horns and bones being brought from Manipur. The items were seized at Srirampur on NH-31(C) on the night on November 27.
The driver and his assistants � identified as Md Nasim, Md Arboy Zakgan and Md Zainuddin � told officials about the transportation of horn and bones to Uttar Pradesh.
However, it was not immediately known whether the buffalo horns and bones were being transported legally or illegally. The seized items are now under the custody of the DFO, Kachugaon Division, Gossaigaon.
