ITANAGAR, Nov 3 - Bomdila, the headquarters of West Kameng district in Arunachal Pradesh, is going to host a three-day mega tourism extravaganza, Buddha Mahotsava-2016, from tomorrow.
The festival is being organised by the district administration to promote tourism and State�s rich cultural heritage. The festival will commemorate the life and teachings of Lord Gautama Buddha.
The festival has its roots in the messages of brotherhood, peace and love propounded by Buddhism and will bring out the Buddhist influence on the life of the people in Arunachal Pradesh.
In its third year, the festival will include cultural performances by various troupes from within and outside the State, traditional games, fashion shows by Yana Ngoba and other designers, adventure sports and musical performances by K-pop winner � The Brooks, Simanta Shekhar, Rupa Kashyap and other renowned artistes.
