GUWAHATI, March 7 � Bud Cricket Club totally outplayed City Cricket Club by a huge margin of 144 runs in the summit clash of the Servo Guwahati Challenge Cricket Tournament for the Balabhadra Oja and Bhabendra Chandra Pathak Trophy organised by River Rine Club.
In a one sided affair at the Judges� Field here today, Bud, put into bat amassed a massive total of 240 losing seven wickets in the stipulated 40 overs and skittled the opponent to 96 in 28.5 overs.
Man-of-the-match Saurav Bhagawati hit a smart total of 70 off 68 balls with three sixes and six fours. Sarupam Purkayastha and Rishab Das were other healthy contributors with 54 and 45 respectively.
In City�s innings Hirokjyoti Barman took five wickets while Sarupam got three.
Rishab Das was adjudged man-of-the-series while Nausad Ali of river Rine got best batsman award. Lakhan Das and Rajit Ali (both River Rine) were picked as best fielder and best wicket keeper of the tournament.
