KOKRAJHAR, March 23 - The two-day BTC Legislative Assembly Budget Session, which started on Tuesday, ended on Wednesday with two Rules passed back-to-back before the Speaker adjourned the House sine die.
Both the Rules were moved by Ansumwi Khungru Boro, Executive Member, who is the in-charge of Legal Metrology Department, BTC.
The General Discussion on the Council Budget for the year 2017-18, which was tabled by the BTC chief Hagrama Mohilary yesterday, was also held today after Question Hour in which Opposition leader Rwngwra Narzary and others actively took part.
Later talking to media-persons, BTC chief Hagrama Mohilary expressed his happiness over the healthy role played by the Opposition leaders during the General Discussion on the Budget.
He also thanked Assam Police for arresting Subodh Biswas and said that the law will take its own course.
